The Grand Valley Cat Coalition (GVCC) is a collaborative effort of six local animal welfare groups who have faced ever-growing numbers of cats and kittens flooding shelters each kitten season. GVCC aims to complete a targeted Trap Neuter Return campaign and also support barrier-free spay and neuter services for cat owners. We will begin in our first target area, the 81501 zip code, spring 2018 and will move out to other zip codes as soon as possible. During this time you may see GVCC volunteers in your neighborhood knocking on doors, trapping and returning cats. Our coalition partners are CLAWS, Grand Rivers Humane Society, Grand Valley Pets Alive, Loma Cat House, Roice-Hurst Humane Society, and Mesa County Animal Services. We are also supported by the Ouray Avenue Kitten Gang and several passionate community members.

The Grand Valley Cat Coalition would not be possible without the generous funding from the Animal Assistance Foundation, Best Friends Animal Society, Grand Rivers Humane, Denver Metro CAT, and the hard work of the community and our coalition. A special thanks to Julie Butherus, David Goe and the Church of the Nativity.
